NEOM awards $84.3mn EPC contract for Al Badaa water recycling plant

NEOM has awarded a contract for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) as well as testing and commissioning a water recycling plant at Al Badaa.

The contract is worth over $84.3 million (SAR316 million) and has been awarded to a joint consortium of International Water Distribution Company (Tawzea) and Spanish water and environment system specialist Lantania.

The scope of the work includes engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning for the Al Badaa water recycling plant enhancements projects, as well as an interim biosolids treatment facility, an interim innovation centre and a biosolids demonstration centre.

The project is a collaboration between NEOM’s ENOWA and the Tawzea-Lantania joint venture, said Mohammed Halawani, CEO of Tawzea.
