Bidding opens for building ‘coffee city’

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture announced on Thursday it is open to bids from contractors for building a ‘coffee city’ in the Qalwah Governorate of Al-Baha Region on the kingdom’s southwestern coast.

The city will cover an area of 5,545,744 square metres.

According to the SPA, the ministry aims to enhance local coffee production with an additional 300,000 trees in line with production localisation goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The deadline for submitting bids is 9 September, 2024, and bids will be reviewed on 10 September, 2024.
