Flying electric ships on their way to NEOM, Saudi Arabia

Candela, a Swedish hydrofoiling electric boats and ferries, said it received a large order to supply a fleet of Candela P-12 electric ships to the NEOM project in Saudi Arabia. The company stated that the delivery of the fleet will begin in 2025.

The company said on Instagram: “We are proud to announce that Candela will supply a fleet of Candela P-12 electric hydrofoil ships for Saudi Arabia’s NEOM project, with deliveries starting in 2025. This zero-emission fleet will redefine waterborne transport with frequent departures, high speeds, and low energy costs. Our largest announced order yet marks a major step in Candela’s hyper-growth journey. Stay tuned!”
